Yeh , the ELS uses a dongle . The Tal is good and it allows external carriers and you can always use fx 'n inserts in Cubase etc to get the added stuff anyhows .
I personally don't rate the akai dc or the orange (which seem to be common) . -
fer pc use id reccomend the ELS .
the TAL is ok for a freebie . -
