Kit Curse & Parasite - Scared/Primal Fear [Inception:Audio - IA026]

There was a strange beacon that we noticed pulsing from an almost hidden sector of the Germany region of the planet: Earth.
We noticed it was from two assets we had previously identified as Kit Curse and Parasite.
Once we were able to retrieve and unscramble the communiqué, we created this archive to serve as a recorded marker of the darker recess of human emotion.
The files are as listed below:

SCARED
You can decipher a combination of frozen artic air and the cold glowing electrical fuzz of a failing satellite once used in an early warning system during primitive human combat.
The tribal drums move along as a lurching form of intimidation and exploration.
A woman’s voice comes over the transmission asking “Are you scared now?” followed by sweeps of percussive hits and sparse mid range squelch like bass stabs.
Tension moves in and out of the programming keeping you on edge for what could be waiting for you in the shadows.

PRIMAL FEAR
Continuing where the last track ends, the listener finds himself or herself navigating a minefield of electrically charged pulses and arches.
The percussive programing is still stripped back and cautious but not lacking for movement.
Along the way there are whispers of those who have gone before us and who have fallen victim to their own fears.

Beterror & Bios Destruction - Amritsar EP [Sinuous Records]

Sinuous Records welcomes back Beterror & Bios Destruction, two Ukrainian producers that are making waves within the drum & bass scene.
With continuous support from Noisia Radio and numerous releases over the last year, this next release is the first EP for 2021, not only following ‘Generation.EP’ but also ‘Perch’ release in the latter half of 2020. There latest occurrence brings The Amritsar EP.

01. Our Horror
Delivering a driving tune full of atmosphere and jungle inflection sounds, razor sharp drums and groaning bass modulations. Stuttering vocal cuts and sweeping synth create musical weaponry.

02. Sudden Eternity
Shimmering pads with skittering percussion make for a dark focused groove. Crisp rolling drums and crunching bass textures make this one have depth and punch in equal measures.

03. Pressure
Leading with hypnotic vocal hooks and punchy percussion, powered along by crispy drums and groaning weighty bass tensions, enough little touches to keep the energy flowing.

04. Armitsar
Echoing FX hits and serious percussive precision combined with heavy hitting tech drums, including rib-rattling bass warmth it's dark yet full of subtle touches.

05. Phenomenon
Delivers a sublime tech groove powered by sharpened percussion and warping neuro bass lines. Sparse drum rhythms, groaning bass and ominous FX hits a-plenty drive this one along at some pace.

06. Nonsense (Warm Roller Remix)
This one is a rapid-fire head-nodder with an infectious vocal hook, before dropping into futuristic sounds, sharp breaks and growling bass. This is deep yet rugged.

07. Flui
Keeps the percussion clean and sparse, injecting plenty of atmosphere via serene pads, its infectious drums and jagged bassline workout, paired with silky vocals make for an elegant tech roller.

I/A launches CTR+ALT+DEL AUDIO with Native C

CTRL ALT DEL AUDIO delivers a seamless merging of forward thinking dance floor drum and bass with the deeper elements of our counterpart Inception Audio.
For this premier release, we enlisted the sonic programing of Native C, and he delivers two caches of dirty tech funk sure to make even the most casual listener nodding along.

Trojan Horse gets things moving with a striped break before the vocal skills of Verbivore cut through with lyrical warnings of a dystopian takeover from the streets behind the guise of a Trojan Horse.
From there the drop brings this full throttle stepper to life. Heavy drums, twisted distorted squelch bass stabs layered with an almost ethereal female voice weaving in and out
to create a soundscape of both tension and beauty.

To call Sunshine the “B Side” is misleading. Do not let the title fool you, this is a heavy heavy dance floor workout begging to be rinsed out on a large rig.
Once the track drops the ominous metallic synth line gets to work and does not let go. It surrounds you in its energy and keeps on moving. An evolving bass line and mid bass stabs keeps the tension in the perfect place all the way through.
You have been warned with this one…

KOP-Z - Dimensions EP [Inception:Audio - IA024]

The first release for lunar year 2021 is a four (4)-track collection courtesy of KOP-Z.
The Dimensions EP moves in and out of deep spacious sounds and construction. There is a rich layered
narrative through out the whole EP for those loved a bit more depth on their art.

The EP opens up with 35mm. There is no question this one sets the mood for the whole release right from the start.
It is confident, moody, and haunting. Lurking bells work their way into your mind leading you to heavy
sparse kicks and low rumbling sub pulses. Cold pads move over the layers and lead to a more melodic exploration
with subtle fills as the song progresses.

Dimensions will have you settled in your star cruiser gazing out of your porthole as you fly across the galaxy.
Crisp pads move in and out of the background behind an hypnotic break and double timed percussion.
An occasional guitar note hanging and echoing creating space light tension.
If you listen close enough you can even hear deep haunting strings and phased mid bass adding another layer to this already sophisticated track.

Mutually Assured Destruction opens up with muted vocals broadcasted over what sounds like a factory intercom
in a hanger and switches up to a distorted stepper break.
Mid bass waves wash over as you move along an assembly line of drone solders being building and revved up for war.
Bomb raid sirens and heavy filtered keys dot the landscape along the way as you get closer and closer to confrontation.

Self Stimulationis like anything really satisfying. It has the slow build ups and pull backs over the coarse of this track and they feel damn good.
They are at times subtle, but within that lives the movement and flow of this moody smoldering work.
