The inimitable Tiga makes his return to BBC 6Music this Friday for another dose of the weird and wonderful My Name Is Tiga show. The bi-monthly show will be airing in its new time slot of 10pm to midnight for the first time, setting you up perfectly for the weekend ahead.

Over the course of two hours, the Montreal-based producer, DJ, label head and tastemaker will once again usher you in to his musical universe as he explores new realms of his metaphorical record bag. This time round he will be presenting a remix special featuring the ’25 different types of remix’ as defined by him – and knowing Tiga you can be sure this will provide a new way to look at the art form. Continuing this theme, he will be inviting some of the remixers he admires in to the studio for a chat including Proxy and Duke Dumont amongst others. You can also expect plenty of exclusives such as his remix of Footprintz’ latest single on Visionquest, Motor City Drum Ensemble’s re-envisioning of Midland and a remix of his own ‘Pleasure From The Bass’ by Subb-an on Crosstown Rebels.

Acclaimed German duo Digitalism are embarking upon a UK tour that will be hitting Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and London in November as part of the I Love You, Dude European tour. They will be joined by special guest support act D/R/U/G/S.

Having soundtracked dancefloors worldwide for more than a half a decade with their inimitable style and resolute disregard for genre, the German duo are making a long awaited return to the UK for a series of special performances with their sophomore album ‘I Love You, Dude’ under their belt.

The follow up to 2007 album ‘Idealism’, ‘I Love You, Dude’ which was released in June of this year, explores a new open-mindedness to their sound and continue to dissolve the boundaries between electro, rock and indie with finesse. Featuring hit singles ‘Blitz’, ‘Stratosphere’ and ‘2 Hearts’ as well as a special collaboration with Julian Casablancas from The Strokes, the new material is sure to add to their already illustrious live performances.

The bi-monthly 6 Music residency starts here.

Following his rapturously received debut appearance on the station in April, Canada’s electro ambassador Tiga will be returning to the hallowed 6 Music decks on Sunday 9th October for the first edition of a new bi-monthly residency with the aptly titled My Name is Tiga show.

The show, which will be broadcast this Sunday from 8pm to 10pm, will see the Montreal-based producer, DJ, label head and tastemaker delve deep into his collection and deliver a master class in forward-thinking electronic music, all underpinned by his inimitable personality. If you heard his first show, you can expect the return of sections like Internet Corner, Tiga’s Mailbag & Football Corner as well as an immaculate selection of music from classic to cutting edge including a host of world exclusive never-before-heard tracks.

The show will be broadcasted on Sunday between 8pm and 10pm, with a repeat airing on Saturday 15th October. The mix will also be available for streaming on the 6 Music website until 23rd October.
