Hyboid - Madhouse in Space (mini album) will it get a release on wax ?
Yes, definitely. On blue vinyl. If all goes well, I will release it by the end of this year. I will post a preview in this forum, of course

The tracks have now been mastered. The sample links now point to the mastered versions.
There is also a new preorder link on my website in case you are interested in receiving a mail when the first release is available -
That is cool news! I have noticed that unfortunately many releases don't get pressed on vinyl anymore. This is a worrying tendency. Happy to see that you still believe in the power of plastics :))

This sounds awesome! Recently got their 2 Bunker 12"s, now this one sounds excellent as well! Great job...

I use Genelec 1029 with subwoofers (Genelec 7050). They have never let me down. They sound nice and still you don't get any nasty surprises if you listen to your mixes on other systems.
Alesis Monitor I Active are also very nice and are really affordable.

It usually takes me a 4-6 days to complete a track that I feel is worth working on. When it takes too long for a track to give me "the kick" I scrap it and start on something new. This way I avoid having too many unfinished tracks around and rather concentrate on those that have "hit potential"
Working on a track for more than 8 hours a day is no good and makes me too dizzy to make any healthy judgement about my music.
-
The bass frequencies in an 808 kick are actually quite tidy and not at all muddy (it is just a sine wave). If your mix is muddy, it is because kick and bassline don't go well together. Try to avoid long 808 kick decays, they really tend to make a mix muddy. If you do long kick decays, the bass line has to be rather "clicky", i.e. with short decays and not too low in frequency.
With a short kick decay, on the other hand, you still have enough space in the lows to place a juicy, low frequency bassline.

hi,
try some ADULT, for example this:
Or maybe MAS 2008, it's not really distorted vocals, but give it listen anyway:
