Hi, I was just wondering when using ableton what the basics of the beat pattern for electro music is, like where the kicks and snares go on the grid etc. Usually I make house music, and it shouldn't be too different from that. I know there's loops U can use but I'd prefer to use the samples in impulse so i can tweak them a bit more. Also, what are some good samples to use? I of course already have the mighty 808, 909, etc. but I was wondering if there is maybe a specific sample pack I can use to slam my tracks. Oh, also I was wondering on using f/x and eq on the beats to make them slam harder, especially that deep bass vroom thing. U know what i mean. thanks.

You could try and replicate others grooves first. Check chapter 11 of the manual.
