Hello there,
I've had the same Behringer midi controller once but found it a bit too large and switched it to Behringer nano controller for a better portability. I think Behringer products are decent as long as there's no audio signals going through them.
To answer the original question my latest bought was Roland JX3P with PG200-controller. For the price it's very powerful synth, warm analog sound with fast and enthusiastic sound editing. Despite of all the good quality the worst lack is to have only one envelope to deal with
korg er1 but that was a present :)))
hi !
my first and also the latest hardware i bought......

An M-Audio Oxygen 8 Midi keyboard, replacing an old 49-key Midi keyboard I had. Much better.

Tell me your experiences so far. I've been searching around some demonstrations of it in the internet but still haven't found any decent. All the demos consist of odd and almost useless sounds which seems to be Waldorf's preset style. Can you get good basic analog/va -sounds out of it?

Oh some of the vids on You tube are awful.
This is one of the better ones for giving a flavour of this beast.
(All factory presests too )

Its a very powerful synth, so much depth in the programming.
Mine was a Macbook Pro 15" (dual graphics card version).
Other than that, it's stuff I've built. The most recent being a TR808 bass drum circuit (cloned from the original schematic & heavily modified), and a Resonant Lopass gate module.

find Jexus on youtube to hear what blofeld can do , also if someone wasn't informed with latest os you can turn your blofeld into sampler , cute isn't

Ok, now there're more promising sounds to hear from it. Those other awful videos were showing the presets which consist of several layered patches fully packed with phaser, ringmod, reverb and delays, all at once...

Usually videos from Jexus tell a lot, but for some reason he was using quite odd patches too, if I remember correctly.

Ah yup!
The SL sample license upgrade opens up the 64 MB of sample memory in the Blofield.
I have got this too, just havent installed it yet!

thanx,
yep, cant stop playing the matrix, its one of those synths that inspires you to play it..
its like having 6 2vco synths all in one unit.sounds great in multi mode playing different patches together with different filters...not fully sussed the modulation possibilities yet, but im getting the sounds out of it i want without delving too much yet and utilising multi mode.
the synton/dynacord is a great simple but high quality vocoder, very smooth/clean sounding,
i was trying to get an ems2000 for a long time, but havnt been able to get hold of one.
the synton isnt too far off the mark soundwise
i sold some kit off i no longer used to fund these ,i got to the point of having too much gear, a lot of it similar that it became counter productive ,and i spent more time re wiring /patching
messing about than producing..so i have gone for a much more specific setup now, much more streamlined.
forgot to mention, got hold of a cheap triton le also primarily for orchestral strings to layer with the matrix and prophet vs for a fat sound
Zitat von actionjetzon;32231a lot of blofeld sounds here:

In my opinion those clips went the same horrible line than the previous I've heard. Most of them with distortion and lfo, and rest of them metallic bell and FM-sounds.
But, I must not complain about the gadget, it's just not my cup of tea.
