Dusted Breaks - label news

  • F-WORD - DEATH VALLEY - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS (DBR010) OUT NOW!!

Back to 90s, when the F-Word project had just begun it’s story, it was easy to feel the influence of hardcore and jungle sound, and the first beats of electronic music in it. Later, the new wave of Breakbeat inspired the project to do some kind of serious experiments. Going back to roots, F-Word gains a great interest in funk, soul, hip-hop and DJ-culture. In 2005 he performed his first DJ-set and gets the inspiration from breaks music. After that, he finally steps into the breaks-music path.

The year 2007 was a very important year for the project and it was full of significant events such as "Red Devil DJ Battle" and release of the first single by F-Word project, which became popular overnight in many foreign web stores.

At the moment F-Word is producing new tracks and remixes, performing regular dj-sets, and has five singles, many of them are in top-charts of best-selling releases in popular web-stores. F-Word tracks are being ragged currently, on radio-stations all over the world. And this is just the beginning...

His next track, Signed up by our bad Dusted Breaks selves, is a nu-skool number with spacey vibes and a warm bass, plus a very familiar vocal sample! This has seen support from all over the globe but more notably from Westway and Up:Start producer d*Funk on his tour of Oz.

ESHERICKS Is very hot property right now and everything he seems to touch turns to Breakbeat gold! So imagine our delight when the Japanese supremo agreed to remix ‘Death Valley’ for us! And he didn’t disappoint!
The use of the 303 is somewhat frowned upon these days and with a usually quite dated sound, compared to what is around now, I tend to understand why! Eshericks though, absolutely nails it!! And with it’s Sick bassline, engagingly un-cliched melodies which interplay nicely, ravetastic
samples and full-bore acid madness, This track has won full support from some of the biggest DJ’s in the world, Including The mighty CRYSTAL METHOD and has literally been ragged from one end of the globe to another and smashed each and every dance floor that it has graced!!

ID needs little introduction and since his move over to all things Dubstep, Has won over a whole new set of fans! This little piece of Dubbed up phatness, that the Mancunian did for Dusted Breaks, Includes the trademark ID wobble and some seriously interesting drum patterns to make the whole tune that little bit more atmospheric and interesting, Compared to the usual Dubstep/Grime sound.

BREAKING NEWS are no strangers to Dusted Breaks and on the back of their ‘Peoples’ release, The Russian boys decided that they’d give this tune a good going over! We honestly thought that up against Eshericks & I.D they may struggle, but not a chance!! Since we signed ‘Peoples’ back in January, These guys have had some wicked opportunities to do remixes on other labels and recently won the Groove Diggerz remix competition for Breakin Even. So it’s safe to say that this lot are on the up and we are very happy with their electro influenced booty style dancefloor smasher!

  • WAYS AND MEANS - BASS BOMBER - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS (DBR011) OUT NOW!!

We at Dusted Breaks are proud to announce our 11th E.P release and to re-introduce this relatively new act that is made up of members of the legendary group Kosheen and some very talented solo producers from the city of Bristol, that brought us the likes of Massive Attack and Portishead, to name but a few!

Their latest track ‘Bass Bomber’ has made serious waves across the promo world with the likes of Distinctive new boy Hexadecimal and Far Too Loud showing their support! It’s huge kick drum and bassline mixed with the techy twist’s in the middle, Make this a very hot prospect for any dancefloor and from what were hearing from our promo boys and girls, This is already going down a storm!!!

The first instalment that we have to offer on the remix tip, See’s Dubstep extraordinaire FELONY join in our party with a bass heavy WUB frenzy that will make even the hardest dubstep sceptic stand up and take notice!! This has had serious suuport from italian wonk master Andrea Lai and Kickflip

The D Product remix is a first from us and we very much enjoyed losing our Drum & Bass cherry to this dude! He is a relatively new artist, but very impressive all the same and this track is definitely one for the deep rolling DnB crew!!

Then there was GELLA! This finely tuned Gentleman from the London area is all about bringing a hard, glitchy style with furious edits and a ton of bounce and this particular little ditty is no exception! It’s tight and inventive production has made this track one of the biggest remixes that Dusted Breaks has so far had the privilege of calling it’s own He has already had massive support all across the globe for his production skills, from the likes of Elite Force, Dylan Rhymes and many others and we will soon be seeing and hearing this guy on a much wider scale, as he makes his way up the ladder of the worldwide dance music scene! This one has had major support from the likes of Peo De Pitte, I.D, The Groove Diggerz & Maelstrom

  • J*O*K*R - ON POINT - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS (DBR012)

Following our last two Breaks/Electro House crossover tracks from the J*O*K*R boys Salad Shaker & Dr.Oetker, We bring you the 3rd and final Dusted installment in the musical love affair with these very talented producers from the South of England.

'On Point' fuses a heavy mixture of Broken Electro Fidget House, with that killa trademark J*O*K*R bassline wobble! It then teases and tantilizes the floor with a very dubstep influenced break and strong vocal stab that lingers throughout! This has so far seen full support from the likes of KICKFLIP & MAELSTROM

MYAGI'S REMIX falls into the deeper realms of Breakbeat, but keeps a funky edge to it. That, mixed with the shear fatness and great use of synths, Makes this is a must for the peak time! This remix followed Myagi out to Oz for his recent tour and won the support of several big name DJ's, including two legend's in the world of Electronic Dance Music!

Myagi Remix Is Slammin!! - (Lee Coombs - lot49)

Really like the Myagi Remix of On Point. Big Room Breaks action for sure! - (Scott - The Crystal Method)

JAY STEWART'S REMIX Starts off with with some wicked percussion and builds into a rolling Funked up monster of a track! It is arguably even deeper that the myagi remix in places and is definitely something a little different from the man they call 'Refunk'

Notable support comes from the likes of Jimmy Mofo - The Beat Asassins, D*funk & Far Too Loud

JOEBOT takes a heavy influence from Dubstep, but always keeps true to his Breakbeat roots for this remix! Everything runs along nice and smooth and then BOOOM!! A bassline that would make even the strongest of men lose control of their bowels!! This track is dancefloor friendly to say the least and it is strongly advised to keep it very loud in the club! Support coming from Mobius, Duane Barry and The Wrongstar Society

UDY is a local DJ/producer from Portsmouth, UK (Home town of Dusted Breaks) and is quickly establishing himself as a very decent House producer indeed! This remix is in the form of Electro House but keeps the crossover going nicely, just like the original, But with its punchy kicks and dirty ass basslines, This will surely destroy all dancefloors in its path!! This paticular remix has gone through the roof for us, in terms of DJ Support. This has the full support of AQUASKY, HEXADECIMAL, RICHIE BALBOA and along with the Jay Stewart remix, Gets the thumbs from FAR TOO LOUD

  • IITONE - CLEAN LIVING IN A DIRTY AGE - DBRLP001

On October 26th this year, We released our and IITone's debut LP! To celebrate this a little further, We wanna show you what some of the DJ/Producer/Reviewers think of this release and also point you in the right direction for all of the retailers that are selling this little ditty for us right now!

    FEEDBACK FOR THIS RELEASE

    Thanks for the IITone album
Really lovin the track called 'Dun' – track 6 on the album
Bad bwoy dubstep – really cool 9/10
Full support from Beat Assassins on this one. (Jimmy Mofo - The Beat Assassins)

There are definitely some stand out tracks for me on this album, a really good effort!
I like the harsh synths in Napalm, wicked sub going on! Nice warm tune!
Crush sounds pretty cool, love the reggae elements in Almighty, Fucked sounds really tough, nice vocal samples going on! Dun is probably my pick of the bunch, really nice!
Overall a really good effort for the debut album.
    Thanks, good stuff!
Scott :) (Hexadecimal - Distinctive Records)

This is a really fucking good album. a good bit of diversity, but still maintaining the same vibe. this will DEFINITELY be in my cd player for quite some time.
Very good show iitone =) (Daniella Downs - Dead Famous)

Congrats on the full album release! Something here for everyone, will definately be looking to drop some of the breaks tracks into my darker sets! (Duane Barry - Ho Ju Records)

The 1st Longplayer from IItone features a pretty diverse range of sounds and styles and is all well produced. Standout tracks for me are Crush which has a great oldskool vibe running alongside tight, modern breakbeats and This Town's Not Massive Enough which harks back to the early days of acrts like Portishead and features the excellent vocals of Mela Busby. (Ali Mobius - Ape Records, Reconnect)

'Jah Ring' reminds me of an Afghan Headspin track the way the beats are put together, chop and stop and start etc. This track is very different to the rest of the album in terms of the toughness and the solid breakbeats present. Will be rinsing this one in my sets! 8/10 :) (Bill Vega - Bassrock)

Already a big fan of "Crush" and it's definitely the tune of the album
for me, but liking "Rise and Fall" also. Very interested to hear the
different style of "Prismism" - I like it as far as it goes, wish it
had a little more content and development but may well drop it into
the QuexTech Special next week :) (Ben Quextal - DJ/Breaks Reviewer)

Been having a few listens to this LP, its quite a variety of styles in there,
its a nice Lp and there is somethere there for everyone.
The tunes that stand out for me and that i will be playing on our show ect...
Is Jah Ring, this tune is a banger, loving the various Bass on this and the changes in beats, great work, one of the bass rumbles sound s a bit like The Beastie Boys..:o)
Crush i have always liked so a great add for the people that have not heard this yet.
I like Logan Returns as well has a nice easy electro feel to it, and the Vocal sample well what can i say hahahaha....
Overall a cool LP. something there for everyone. Good Work (Dean - Curl & Dean - Big Square Records)

  • REFRACTURE - ETERNAL - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS - DBR013

REFRACTURE is 22 year old Breaks and Electro House producer Paul Dobson From Ipswich,UK.
Refracture is renowned for emotional and uplifting dance music. His unique sound and energy has got him support from some of the worlds biggest djs including Jay Cunning & The Crystal Method
Paul started producing at the age of 15, where he experimented with different sounds and production techniques until he eventually formed the 'Refracture' sound in 2008, combining his love of breaks with his addiction to deep melodies.
2009 has been the year where Refracture has begun to break-through onto the scene though, with a string of successful releases including several top 10's on beatport, a number 1 on trackitdown, aswell as featuring on Ronski Speed Compilation album: Positive Ways and gaining support from national radio station Kiss Fm!

ETERNAL has an uplifting progressive vibe to it in true Refractured style! His signature beat, mixed with a huge trance breakdown and build up that will have you thirsty for more, has won over support from some truly great names in the industry, including plays on Jay Cunnings Kiss FM show and full playing support from The Crystal Method

\\\\\\\"I got to say the original is my fave! Good driving beats and cutting synths. Cool stuff.Thanks\\\\\\\"
    (Scott - The Crystal Method)

MR NO HANDS REMIX This little ditty has really seen a lot of promo plays over the last 4 weeks, From some massive names, and we at Dusted Breaks are not surprised! Mr No Hands Clean production work (as usual) and the asolutely mental head nodding and funky vibe that this remix carries, has had people bouncing off the walls!! Many of the same big names have made comments about this being, Possibly his best work to date and we are not gonna disagree!

This is a huge remix, definitely No hands best remix to date, dropped this last Saturday at Infectious Breaks and it received a great reaction from the crowd! Top work Dave!
    (Cut La Roc - Rocstar)

Really feelin' the No Hands remix on this one. When the wonky B-line drops it's magic!!
    (Phil - Splitloop)

Full on support on the No Hands remix...His best work to date IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Peo ‘de Pitte’ Haggstrom - FlatOut Records)

That leads us very nicely into the remix of Dusted Breaks very own HYPEARTIST In our world of dj friendly cookie cutter tracks that all seem to end and begin like each other, this remix certainly stands out! A very brave and bold remix by the Russian newcomer! Twisted glitchy synth action and massive pads instantly submerge you into a world of sound and has that Very epic feeling! This has had support from Florida's very own Inconspicous Villian - NSB

  • XIM N BASS V's CRITICAL - BELIEVE - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS - DBR014

Well........Its been a great year for us at DB Records and although it has been VERY hard work, It has been great fun!
This is our last instalment of 2009 and we thought, for a change, We will go much harder than usual for this one!!

XIM N BASS Hail from the South of Spain, DJ XIM and Frank Bass are XIM & BASS, Owners of the Radik - All crew.
Nine years ago they were playing gabber, but that gave way to the nasty Sound of breaks. (They were converted after being rocked by a Chris Carter set.)
Four years ago they immersed themselved in Spain's breaks scene, Playing sets every weekend alongside some of the top worldwide brass.Already co-owning a brand new spanish breakbeat internet community
and forums http://www.radik-all.com while running a new label AUDIOGORE, Which has won support from the likes of VENT, SPECIMEN A & AFGHAN HEADSPIN

CRITICAL Hails from Victoria, British Columbia Canada and is the kind of guy who just NEEDS to make music! A lot of people talk about music as a drug, but few bare physical representations of that metaphor. He's pale and thin from spending every available hour in his room producing, DJing, or just reading about music. A habit so bad it has worried friends and family from time to time, but like a real drug addict he barely seems to notice. He probably looked a bit like a refugee when he was climbing around in a garbage pile looking for his first turn table seven years ago. He found it, and started his DJing career with two belt driven turntables, two amplifiers, and no mixer. Fast forward five years, and countless hours in the studio, Jaime landed his first residency at Victoria's premiere electronica night club – two years before he is legally allowed to drink there!! An early member of the Victoria based collective Break Beat Island, With his first release (Malpractice bootleg) gaining him support from the likes of Anti-Science, White Papoo, MKM, Influenza, and Pete Samplers, Not to mention XIM N BASS, Hence why this partnership has taken place! Critical has gone from strength to strength since then and has several releases out there right now and im sure we'll be treated to a few more folowing this little ditty!

'Believe' Not only takes a much heavier route to what you may be used to from us, but it is very much from the darker realms of Breakbeat! Its Rolling drums mixed with haunting pads and filthy Bass that makes you wanna go and wash yourself after every listen has so far seen support coming from Mars, Annie Nightingale, Curl & Dean & Yoof Sonz Of Mecha

IITONE REMIX This guy came on to the scene properly in 2008 and has seen many of his releases snapped up by some top labels! His album 'Clean Living in a Dirty Age' Which includes Dusted Breaks first ever relase 'Crush' has so far become one of the best Break Beat albums of 2009 and this remix is arguably his best remix work to date!! Its a little more moodier than the original but keeps that rolling edge and relentless Bassface stylee! Support coming from Schema, Far Too Loud & Bill Vega to name but a few.

NUDE REMIX These guys are an up and coming band from Frankfurt in Germany. Their roots lie with Drum & Bass, but they have been known to create some rather nasty but tasty Breakbeats in their fairly short history! They have gained great support in their home country through tireless touring and promoting their music and their label Sabotage Concept. Their version of this keeps it in the same vein as the original but you can definitely spot the drum and bass influence as it takes a more tearout twist when the beat drops and some may even say that this is heavier and nastier than the original! TEAROUT CREW BEWARE!!!

ZERO B REMIX Zero B recently made a producing come back with his Co-owned label Westway and We are very proud to be the next in line to get this guy's talents involved in our label! Many will remember the hardcore classic 'Lock Up' which sent shivers down the illegal rave community back in the early nineties and to this day can be heard in most classic 'core' sets and sits nicely in the top 10 classics of all time! His remix of 'Believe' though is nothing short of Genre Splitting! It kicks off with a Dubstep intro that takes you into the zone and then the rhythmic build holds you there nicely until the bass starts growling and slams you back into a kind of broken 4/4 groove. The 2nd break is just deadly!! Any of you that know 'Lock Up' will no doubt spot certain familiar sounds mashed up in this remix! Notable support coming from Kickflip

  • KRAYMON feat COLLEEN QUINN - TROUBLE IN MY HEAD - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS - DBR015 - OUT NOW

    [yt]iEwnzsREcQw[/yt]
    THE OFFICIAL VIDEO

Kraymon's debut single ‘Got to Get Busy’ was a clear indication of his musical intentions and since its release in 2001 and he has been doing exactly that. (In this sense, the message behind other track titles, such as ‘Time Wasting’, should undeniably be ignored). Nowadays he has more strings to his bow than a cheese straw and is involved in a multitude of remixes, club nights, tours abroad, and kazoo master classes.

Starting off putting out music in the breakbeat playpen, he clambered over the top and landed safely on a mattress of electronic musical fibres. Regardless of the tune, however, there is always a distinct Kraymon style; hard to define, impossible to resist. Actually, some have attempted to define it, but such valiant efforts always result in nonsensical words. But it is fair to say he is renowned for his colossal squelchy bass, intricate beats and sublime, crispy production. Kraymon makes dance floors a very sweaty place with tracks such as ‘Just Press Play’ which is guaranteed to get things moving. All you need to do is press play.

'Trouble In My Head' comes in 2 forms for this release, The original and Radio Edit and features the talents of COLLEEN QUINN from Bristol based band SUBSTATIC who are one of the most exciting, dynamic and engaging acts to come out of the city with their own unique take on today’s dance/electro scene. This track has been played on BBC Radio 6 as part of Tom Robinson's 'Introducing' programme and has won DJ support from the likes of MESMER & 601 The release also got 4/5 in January's DJ Mag

The remixes on this package are huuge! They come from ESHERICKS, REFRACTURE, EK & CAJITA and between them have received plays all over the world from the likes of The Crystal Method, Hexadecimal, Kickflip, Joebot, Duane Barry and many more..........

  • Dusted Breaks 1st Birthday Release!!

PAUL LYMAN - BREAK THROUGH 2 - DUSTED BREAKS RECORDS - DBR017 - OUT NOW! - (BEATPORT EXCLUSIVE FOR 2 WEEKS)

Yes, we are 1 Year Old and what a year it has been! We've worked with some amazing producers, both on original level and remix, then we go and win a very unexpected 'Best New Label' award at Breakspoll, ending our year with a package to die for!!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys and gals that voted for us at Breakspoll AND for all the love, support and feedback we have received since we kicked this thing off. We love you all!!! XX

Back to the tunes now and it is an honour to welcome 2 legends of the scene onto our label, even though one of these legends already has Dusted Breaks history, we are so ecstatic that he returned to us! Were also very happy to announce the return of 10 Rapid and the Wrongstar Society, plus Paul Lyman himself returns with something a little different AND new boy to the scene and Dusted Breaks NO.2 John Selekta makes his debut Remix For Us!

ELITE FORCE V's 10 RAPID REMIX Came about when Shack heard the original remix back in the summer of 2009 and decided to get his hands dirty for his up and coming tour of Oz, where he thought the tune would go down a storm and he was not wrong!
As well as playing this himself, Shack is not the only one who loves and shown playing support this tune!

    DJ FEEDBACK

"Elite Force & 10 Rapid mix is Slamming!" - GENERAL MIDI (Distinctive)

"Liking the 10 Rapid vs Elite force mix! I played the mix out quite a few times since i first got it" - FAR TOO LOUD (Funkatech)

"Elite Force vs 10 Rapid Mix sounds good. Really like the Wrongstars one too and will be playing this one! - HEXADECIMAL (Distinctive)

"Like the Elite Force Remix and also the Skank mix, which is just a little weird but enjoyable! - PHIL SPLITLOOP (Against The Grain)

"Elite force 10 Rapid all the way! Both Cut la roc's and Paul Lyman's are well wicked too! - DANIELLA DOWNS (Dead Famous)

CUT LA ROC'S 4-4 REMIX This is definitely something special from the man like Cut La Roc! It has a very deep and proggy feel to it, much different from his usual up beat'ness, but works a treat on the dancefloor! This is a reworking by the man himself, following his Breaks remix from the original package, which came out in April 2009.

PAUL LYMAN'S MOVING FORWARD REMIX Paul has to be one the most talented producers that we have ever had the pleasure of signing a tune from! He can turn his hand to pretty much any genre and nail it with usually excellent results!! For this remix of his deep proggy breaks original, Paul goes back to his true love of deep house and adds a very heavy acid influence to it, which has brought the dancefloor of Gatecrasher to its knees over the past few weeks, where Paul has a residency!

JOHN SELEKTA'S SKANK REMIX John is not only making his remix debut here, but what most of won't know is that he is the creative designer and label no.2 for Dusted Breaks! Not only does he do some mean artwork and occasional master, but he can make a phat tune or 2 as well!!

THE WRONGSTARS SOCIETY INSTRUMENTAL REMIX This tune does exactly what it says on the tin! When this originally came out, it had a killa bit of Mc'ing by the guys, but one or two DJ's requested it without the vocals, and they were only too happy to oblige! This track has seen plays by quite a few top names including KICKFLIP

This is available exclusively to Beatport for the next 2 weeks and will go worldwide on April 5th

  • bkp & One Man Army - Flippit - Dusted Breaks Records (DBR018)

Brett Patman (aka bkp) began producing Breakbeat in 2004 on a Yamaha RS7000, drawing inspiration and motivation to buy the unit after seeing a Whomp live set.
Years passed while Brett locked himself away in his room slaving away to produce mostly breakbeat and eventually receiving praise for his efforts from producers such as Dopamine, Beat Vandals, Nick Thayer, Bass Kleph and most of the Sydney Breakbeat scene.
His track 'Little Bit Closer' was featured on the 2006 Nuskool Breaks unsigned showcase and was well received by DJ's, producers and punters alike from all over the world.
Brett is also one of the faces behind the Sydney arm of the successful Perth based promotions/artist agency/label 'Destination?' which was originally founded by Signaldrivers.
Brett can be found playing behind the decks at his monthly 'Destination?' residency at The Cross supporting names like Groove Diggerz, JHZ, Koma & Bones, Miles Dyson, NAPT, Clive Morley and Dopamine. to find out more about bkp, check out his myspace page Here: bkp MYSPACE

Quadrat Beat are Sergey and Eugene Lobanovsky. They need very little introduction in the world of breakbeat and are fresh from playing an awesome set at the 2010 breakspoll awards! The project was born in 2008 when Eugene received a musical education. The brothers showed a great interest in breaks music and have started to search for their own sound. In May of 2008 they released their first track 'The Legend' which received many positive responses from DJ's all over the world! About one year later and they continued to make new tracks and many great remixes on labels such as APE Music, Subtribe, 13Breakz & Dusted Breaks! 2010 will see the brothers continue their great success, with lots of new material so keep em peeled for the boys from Latvia! SOL8 (aka SOL and 108) met in Toronto and perform a mix of East coast North American and Japanese electro. They are young up and coming artists and they have a fresh new dirty electro sound that has been getting attention all over Tokyo. They can now be found in clubs like Womb and Seco in Shibuya. They opened the last Tokyo Underground party in Seoul and absolutely rocked the discoteque before even the main DJ, SONPUB reached the stage. Their next appearance in Seoul is eagerly anticipated! This is their first ever release as SOL8 and now they have teamed up with the same management as Eshericks, expect seriously good things in 2010 from these guys! SOL8 MYSPACE

J*O*K*R (aka Joe Kapiche & Ollie Rubicks) Formed In mid 2008 but it wasn't until the start of 2009 when we at Dusted Breaks snapped up 'Salad Shaker' & 'Dr.Oetker' that these guys started to get recognised as a seriously talented duo! We liked them so much, we signed a 3rd track called 'On Point' after only a brief listen on their internet radio show for Brap F.m! Those 3 releases alone, gained Support in the form of The Plump DJ's/Kickflip/Kid Blue/Generl Midi amongst others! J*O*K*R have also recently reignited their love affair with South Coast labels and have 'Snaggle Tooth' out on Kiss My Bass Records, plus they have a number of things up their sleeve for later in the year, so stay tuned to them, because the future is lookin very bright for the J*O*K*R boys! WAYS AND MEANS Is a Breakbeat Unit Combining The Production Talent Of Kristian Townsend, Darren Beale of Kosheen, & Gary Eccles. The Boys have Teamed Up To Present You With Exploits In To The World Of Beats And Breaks Under The Rapidly Rising Name Of Ways And Means giving us banging breakbeat slices of solid tech funk breaks, warped bass lines and meaty synth leads that gnarl over sick drum patterns to keep the crowd hype, watch your bassbins! This is their second release for us, following the very succesful 'Bass Bomber' ditty, that made it to the top 10 of the Beatport Breaks chart back in November 2009! This won't be their last release for Dusted Breaks either, with more planned late summer 2010. So keep them eyes peeled for the crew coming straight outta Bristol! Both of their tunes from this release have won DJ support from some massive names such as FAR TOO LOUD, KARTON, D*FUNK, RUN RIOT & So many more!

HOME ALONEAfter more than a decade of playing bass in rock bands across Italy, Dino Z aka Home Alone took it upon himself to learn the crafts of electronic music production. It didn’t take long for acid stalwarts Dead Famous (nominated Best Label at Breakspoll 2010) to take notice of him, and his first release as a techno producer saw the light in January of 2010 in the form of the peak hour warehouse acid vibes of Revolution No. 3 and Get Away From Me. It received positive feedback and support from the techno and breakbeat scenes all over the World!
For 2010 Dino is turning more than prolific, with his original and remixed material set to turn up on some of House and Breakbeats best labels! This is another artist to keep you eyes on! His remix of 'Let Me See You Bounce' is prodominently Techno but with a very nice slice of Broken beats running through it! This has seen plays all over the world from the likes of RETROID (Hungary), DANIELLA DOWNS (USA) & LLUPA (Australia)

HELLFIRE MACHINA Prior to the birth of this project in late 2008. Jody Shires and Tom Williams collectively had over 60 releases under their belts, along with production work for grammy nominated artists, numerous UK top ten remixes, 5 Breakspoll Awards, Best International Dj in the Spanish EDM awards 3 years running and a history in bass culture that is second to none.. The year is now 2010, sonic exploration in the realm of bass fueled riddims is the primary mission for Hellfire Machina. With residencies at New Yorks legendary Club Love, Darkroom in Brooklyn and Psychadelic Radio in SF, it's no wonder these guys are in high demand. Ending last year with A and R and project management credits for the Wu Tang 'Enter The Dubstep' album and a string of singles and remixes, they have hit the ground running in 2010 and this remix, as you would imagine with their pedigree, is dubstep of the highest order!! it has so far won over World Famous names such as CUT LA ROC, THE BEAT ASSASINS, HEXADECIMAL, I.D, BEN & LEX, SCHEMA & more! • This go round Dead Famous and Dusted Breaks proudly present 2 wicked releases from B-Phreak, with a host of stellar, and yet, completely different remixes. If you like your head twisted, your feet glued to the floor, your mind expanded, and then destroyed like it was Armageddon, you will definitely find something that suits you on one of these!

B-Phreak – Wavy Gravy (Kid Kenobi / Duane Barry Remixes) [DF31]
OUT NOW :: at Beatport for the next 2 weeks, and then everywhere else afterwards.

After the success of the Dead Famous Remix LP, we’re trying something a bit different this go round. Stepping outside the proverbial dark acid drenched box, we @ Dead Famous are happy to present something a little more outwardly upbeat for the crowd that likes to move. First up, we have B-Phreak’s Wavy Gravy. Fresh of a string of recent well received releases, and a crucial remix for Mesmer’s Scarcity imprint, B-Phreak delivers what he’s most known for – hard ass techy breaks with a dash of drive, a smidgen of funk, and a giant helping of nasty. I’m sayin pull out the bowl of mashed potatoes, because it is indeed that type of party.

On the remix front, we firstly have Kid Kenobi, who has lately returned to the forefront of dance music. While championing a different sound than old breaks heads remember him for, it’s worth noting that the production on his recent big room house tunes is just the same, If not better than what some remember him for. Crafting a giant funky affair that fans of funky as it comes house will love, Kid Kenobi has definitely incorporated a chunk of breaks in this remix to keep the chin strokers happy. Lastly, label head of the stellar Digital Sensation UK, Duane Barry has delivered a remix that is guaranteed to make hands raise all summer long. Turning out a remix that is reminiscent in vibe of old Chable & Bonicci, and coupled with a main build and breakdown that is so massive it can’t even be described properly, Duane continues to push trancey breaks unlike anyone else.

Don't take our word for it, here's what others had to say about the Remix LP:

Karton "Original is nice and tough - DB's remix adds a nice proggy element without losing the energy. Can see both getting a play from us at different times. "

Mr No Hands / Mixmag "Kid’s remix is sicko ravey pants in the garden time!"

Far Too Loud "Original is a filthy filthy banger. Naughty. I like it."

Kultur "Duane Barry has created a marvelous remix, like always !! I will support both in my Kultura Breakz show in the next weeks and also in my live sets."

Kickflip "Yes yes, liking the big bendy bass original here!"

Carol Campos "The original is a true banger, very hard ass indeed! Like it a lot. But the one which is going to have more rotation on my case in the Kid Kenobi mix. Boy, I was missing his tunes! Played alongside him a few years back and was truly missing his stuff... :) Love his remix, a great mix of house and breaks, a transgenre bomb! Top production! "

B-Phreak – Shooked / Bulletproof (Vandal / Shut Up And Dance Remixes) [DBR020]
    OUT NOW :: BEATPORT
Also available at all other good download shops!

Dusted Breaks are pleased to kick off their relationship with a producer who's studio seems to have moved to an industrial bulding site of late!!

Whilst Bernie has never been shy of tough beats and big bass, he has taken all he did in previous years and smashed it out of the park to bring on the heaviest gut wrenching beats and twisted teeth grinding basslines, that only the most hardened clubber will be able to take! Both Shooked & Bulletproof give you no choice but to play them loud and are both relentless in their ability to get yo ass up and dance! For the remix Dusted Breaks wanted something really special to compliment the originals and they don't come any more special than legendary producers VANDAL & S.U.A.D

VANDAL took on the job of remixing Shooked and moves for the more Electro Breaks sound, with a battering ram beat and awesome synth work that manages to shank the tailbones and metertarsals of the unsuspecting dancefloor!! S.U.A.D Basically took all of the original samples that Bernie had offered, screwed them up and threw them in the bin, in favour of bringing in the THE RAGGA TWINS and turning the tune into a broken dubbed up party banger that you will automatically recognize as SHUT UP AND DANCE!

Lee Coombs “Vandal Remix is slammin! Will use this for sure!!”

Splitloop "I like what the Shut Up and Dance guys have done with it, it's mental but really solid. Out of the package I like the original of Bulletproof best, closely followed by the Vandal remix of Shooked"

Run Riot “B-Phreak is HUGE! ALL about the originals for me - right up my street!!”

Drumattic Twins “"Im a big big SUAD fan but the Vandal mix Here is immense....Its like,,,,,its like Pete Tong,,,,makes me wanna go out.....”

Maelstrom "Quality ! lovin the SUAD mix and shooked original 7/10"
