Was wondering if there is any realtime vocoder software you can use. Meaning when you talk into the mic while the program is running it automatically sends the moderator and carrier to give you live sound.

Realtime Vocoder Software?........

Pretty much any VST plug in vocoder will let you do live stuff.
Just route an external mic into it via a mixer channel.
Some vst's can set the note within the plug in, others you will need a midi keyboaord to change notes. As DC suggested, FL studio has a great built in vocoder, even better in version 8.5 (beta right now)

Thanks for the replys...Ill give FL Studio a try

Reason can do this also. You need free drivers at http://www.asio4all.com and reason.. Live vocoding and key changing or what ever you want to build and run your mike through inside reason! Asio4all utilizes the rebirth input machine for your mike input.. Check out the video..

I'm picking up a Korg Vocoder some time this week, until then I've been using one I made on the G2 Modular. If you have a G2, I can send some patch files

Ok so i finally got my mic to sync with my vocoder...now i have another problem. Everytime i talk into the mic and it sends it through the vocoder...it echos? How do i get rid of that

Do you mean a delay between you speaking into the mic and hearing it in the headphones?
If so, make sure you have Direct Monitoring set to 'on' on your sound card (almost all pro cards have this feature).
what sequencer and soundcard are you using?

Yeah it does this also but i expected it to (ill have to upgrade my soundcard i see) but this is not the issue i was initially talking about. When i talk into the mic and it goes through the vocoder whatever i say repeats over and over... Sounds like an overdub issue to me but i really have no clue

You never answered: What software are you using, and what sound card do you have? I can't be much help without this info.
Sounds like you have some sort of feedback loop going on there. How have you got it wired up?

sounds like feedback. try listening on headphones and see if you still have the same problem. if it goes away, it's feedback.

Im using Ableton Live 7 + Orange Vocoder and my soundcard is a Creative Sound Blaster PCI

There lies the problem. Your soundcard is a gamers card, not a pro-audio card. The trouble is, there are no (or very limited) routing options with gamer cards (as they don't need them). I just bought a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 to replace my M-Audio Firewire 410 (both pro interfaces, but the Focusrite has much better mic pre's). Direct monitoring is essential too.
You could try muting the track you're recording on to to prevent the feedback loop. If that doesn't work, you'll need a pro audio interface/card. I would strongly recommend one anyway if you're serious about making music.
I have a couple of audio interfaces which I'll sell if you're interested; M-Audio Firewire 410 and a Terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96, if you live in the UK, make me an offer. The difference will be night and day compared to what you're using at the moment.
