Faithful reproduction of the 808 bass drum with midi and analog trigger inputs!
Just ordered mine.
Not too many available so I'd be quick if you fancy one.

hmmm it doesent sound exactly like 808 kick,
think its expensive just for the kick
heres the real thing
one guy from serbia made 1:1 clone of 808

i heard he is also making 909 now
sounds good to me - reason it doesnt sound exactly like it in the demo is that he's added a pitch control and is messing with it on the mp3 example. apart from that, it uses the same circuit and components as the real thing...
i dont think its too expensive...only came in @ about £93 delivered for me - a real 808 can cost you £1000+ these days...its crazy. i remember when they used to go for £400-500.
hey
regarding 808 clones check out this one www.eight-oh-eight.org
its diy only but sounds good..
cheers
I'm in the process of cloning one myself from the original schematic, the only original components that are not available are the transistors, but there are equivalents that are like for like. I'll also be adding 1v/oct CV to the pitch.

You should post your progress...
looks good.
I've seen the MB 808 before and wouldn't mind building, but i'm useless with electronics.
I'm good with a soldering iron, but when it comes to knowing what things are meant to do, and testing - i'm just a buffoon.
I built a midibox SID, after years of having the parts, but just can't get it to work, despite everything seeming to be in the correct places. its very frustrating, i simply don't know where i've gone wrong with it and it sorta knocks my confidence when it comes to building anything else.
