i think he uses the akai dc vocoder.

try the vocovee voco,its a free and capable of real good results.

or if you have some spare cash try the els vocoder,its a software version of the ems 5000
its also capable of some nice sounds and emulates the ems well imo.

Yeah, the Akai DC Vocoder can get some good sounds. I also like the Vokko VST... has a great unique sound.

I hadn't heard of the els vocoder... looks amazing though. I wish it wasn't so pricey.

I use Logic's vocoder but I gather that you're on a PC.

I have that one too and can never get it too run properly.. But Heard good things about it from other people, basshead it's really trial and error on what works for you.

The Waves Morphoder is pretty good too.

yeah, a 'crack' for that ELS isn't available or I'd try it out. Looks good!

I'm usinbg TAL now - getting good results - probably the best i've yet had form a VST.

Yeh , the ELS uses a dongle . The Tal is good and it allows external carriers and you can always use fx 'n inserts in Cubase etc to get the added stuff anyhows .
I personally don't rate the akai dc or the orange (which seem to be common) .

Orange vocoder is amazingly over rated IMO

The dongle itself shouldn't be a problem - after all Cubase's dongle has been cracked.

Ansd yeah, The Akai is horrible and the orange vocoder is useless.

yes sir I like to add a slight distortion and tweak the preset combinator vocoder patches plus there some kool ones online all need tweaking IMO but can get some nice sounds also the TAL vocoder is cool designed by dynamix II its free

TAL vocoder is pretty decent, im really liking the Vocodex one right now also.
Akai Dc vocoder is also another good one.

I really like the Reason vocoder!! you can do a lot with that one!
I also recommend Garageband for altering/mutating one of your recorded phrases. With the right use, you can do some serious damage from bit crush to monster/fx stuff with this proggie!
